About Me
As the HOODOULA and founder of Dark Matter Self Care, I specialize in spiritual wellness and end-of-life preparation, blending ancestral wisdom with compassionate guidance. Rooted in my practice as a Hoodoo Practitionerand Death Doula, and supported by a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, I bring a deep understanding of the emotional, mental, and spiritual dimensions of transition.
This work is sacred and personal. I created this business in honor of my father, who passed away in 2021 — his memory guides the heart of everything I do.
I approach death not as an ending, but as a threshold — a moment deserving of reverence, ritual, and care. My mission is to help individuals and families explore and embrace death in ways that are respectful, intentional, and transformative.
As a sacred architect of meaning, I bring ceremony to every aspect of the journey — from end-of-life planning, to creative legacy design, to ancestral veneration and spiritual education. I support clients in crafting compassionate, personalized transitions, rooted in both cultural truth and soulful healing.
At Dark Matter Self Care, I create space for the often-silenced conversations around death to emerge without fear — with beauty, dignity, and purpose.
Because death, too, is sacred. And in the dark, something deeper always begins to shine.
